The AMSF, Angola Memorial Scholarship Fund, aims to provide leadership training and education for citizens of Angola, where more than 80% of people live in poverty, and more than 25% of the nation's income goes towards paying interest to debtors in the developed world.

Ten Thousand Villages is an unbelievable organization, providing "vital, fair income to Third World people" in exchange for quality hand-made natural products. Many of Portal's ethnic instruments, including the tablas and udu used on Element were purchase at Ten Thousand Villages.

Wikipedia is an open-source encyclopedia, with articles written in more than 100 languages by people around the world. Any answer you need, Widipedia's got it. There's even an article about your favourite band.
